7 Steps to decorate your home for less….. Magnificent Monday

If you thought that I forgot about Fun Friday, then that is farthest from the truth! So lets call today “Magnificent Monday!” Hopefully you are fully rested and ready to start this Monday off on a great note! (If you’re like me and had to work this weekend, drink a red bull.. it gives you wings!)

Want to turn your home from plain to fabulous? Are you tired of looking at that same room that needs something to spice it up but simply can’t afford to do much about it? Well you came to the right place! Here is a DIY project that will cost less than paint or new furniture!

  • switch plate
  • scrapbook paper {or wrapping paper, fabric or book pages}
  • mod podge
  • scissors
  • sponge brush

STEP ONE: cut paper slightly larger than outlet cover

STEP TWO: apply mod podge to back of paper and front of switch cover and press together

STEP THREE: cut out the corners

STEP FOUR: applying more glue, fold in the sides and press to adhere

STEP FIVE: trim top and bottom flaps at an angle then fold down and press to adhere

STEP SIX: cut out center hole as shown

STEP SEVEN: cover front with mod podge to seal

****On another note: We hope our friends in California are okay, after a 4.0 earthquake hit them this morning! What a wake-up call, forget your alarm! *****
